A lot can happen in a week and a half so we thought it was time to give everyone an update on the status of some of the items we have been working on and announce some new members of the team!

New Board Members

To start off, I would like to announce 3 new members of the Board of Directors for the Crypti Foundation! These members are from the community and were nominated by community members for review. After interviews and getting to know their skills and what they can contribute to the team, the following community members have officially been confirmed to the Board of Directors!

  • William (Litoshi) - William will function as a financial and strategic analyst for the board. He will help us get the most out of the funds we raised as well as provide strategic guidance on new projects and help contribute to our board room discussion on the design of new features.

  • Eric (SamSmith16) - Eric will function as a Q&A tester, will work on documentation for releases, guides to help new users, and will help with community support and outreach.

  • Max (Passion_LTC / Berzerk) - Max will join as a business advisor and engineer. He will help advise on the Crypti Core and help with the design of new features and implementation.

Just to rehash, the current Board prior to these additions consisted of the following:

  • Boris (Crypti) - Boris is the lead developer and creator of Crypti. Boris IS Crypti. Period.

  • Arman (A.M.) - Arman is the marketing lead for the foundation as well as a business advisor and primary financier prior to securing funding in the pre-sale.

  • Stas (SyRenity) - Stas is our technology and partner relations lead. He works on key partnerships with app developers and merchants. He also advises on all technology based issues as well as general business matter.

  • Mike (Bitseed) - Mike is our resident engineer. He crunches all of the numbers and makes sure everything is scalable and functions how it was meant to.

  • Matthew (GreXX) - I am the community manager and PR lead. I am responsible for content, announcements, press releases, and community interaction. I also function as creative designer.

With the new confirmations that brings the Board of Directors to 8 out of the 10 member max. We are still looking for 2 more community representatives to help fill out the board and join the 3 newly announced members. Please nominate anyone you think might be able to help fill a role and push the Foundation forward!

We also need to officially introduce our first non-board member employee. He has been with us for a while now and is an integral part of our team.

  • Sebastian - Sebastian is our full time and lead QA tester and is in charge of bug reports, vulnerabilities, and ensuring that we cover all of our bases in testing the software in all compatible environments. He also helps write-up our software documentation.

Thanks to KarmaComa24

For those of you who missed it, community member KarmaComa24 has been hard at work on a great piece of software for the Crypti community called CryptiKit and it's something I think you all should check out!

Basically CryptiKit allows easy deployment and management of your Crypti nodes from Linux or OSX operating systems. It works with Ubuntu servers being run on Digital Ocean or GetClouder.

There are a growing list of features as he has been providing daily updates (sometimes more than 1 a day). It can currently deploy new nodes, setup forging, start and stop forging, check your balances, and a ton of other features.

In honor of his great work and contribution to the Crypti community, the Foundation has sent a donation of 11,000 XCR to his wallet (18246983367770087687C). I would highly encourage anyone who has found CryptiKit useful to send additional donations.

Windows Wallet

The windows wallet has been a hotly anticipated release and we know you are all waiting very patiently to get yours hands on it. While it is mostly complete and many of you have already begun helping test the current version, there are still some issues we are working to hammer out.

The current version doesn't appear to be forging at the correct rate when compared to the Linux node in regards to time between blocks so we are trying to figure out the root cause of the difference.

As I have mentioned in the BTT Thread, we will release the wallet as soon as the members of the Board feel that it is ready. If you would like to help test the current version on our testnet, you can join us in our IRC channel on Freenode at #CryptiTalk and get details on how to get started!

Logo Design / Re-Brand

We mentioned on the thread that we are in the process of working with designers on the new logo design and re-brand of the main site. We have received initial mockups from the designers for the new logo design but have decided that we want to see more before making a decision.

As such, we have decided to launch a Logo Design Contest on 99Designs.com. This will give us the opportunity to get a wider base of options and also allow the community to voice their feedback on their favorites. Keep in mind that the board will make the final decision.

We will add the link here and post it in the BTT Thread as soon as we open the contest.

Until next time....

That is all we have for today. We will keep everyone updated on the status of the Windows wallet and will release it as soon as we can. We are also working hard on the next rendition of the Linux distribution.

Thank you all for your continued support of Crypti and our team. We wouldn't be here without you!
