Welcome to the first edition of our weekly DevBlog series!

These weekly updates will be used to show the community what we are currently working on and keep you updated on all of the Crypti related developments we have to share.

As this is the first DevBlog, it will cover a lot of information so please bare with me!

Crypti up to Now

The Crypti pre-sale process was an absolute success and we could not be more happy about the results. We owe you all a debt of gratitude and want to say, sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting and believing in Crypti! We put a lot of time, energy, blood, sweat, and tears into trying to build something new and exciting and to see you all share our excitement and want to take this ride with us is beyond amazing! Again, thank you so much for your support!

When we first started developing the idea for Crypti and talking about a possible crowd-sale, we had some killer applications in mind. We knew we would need to hire more developers and bring in additional team members to make Crypti a reality the way we had envisioned it in our minds. We also knew we would need strong support in order to accomplish our goals.

We were blown away by the response from the community! The Crypti pre-sale managed to hit our 750 BTC cap in a record 5 days and we were honestly scrambling to keep up! With the pre-sale going above and beyond what we ever imagined, we know we have a lot of work left to do to prove to the community that we deserve your continued support and the faith you have put in us. We plan on working our butts off to make sure we don’t let any of you down!

With that being said, let’s get into exactly what it is we have been working on.

Development Update

Boris is our Lead Developer and has been hard at work on several extremely important projects.

The first major project was the Pre-sale Ledger. As you know, it took a little while for us to get the data from BTER and get the formatting, calculations, and bonus percentages all worked out, but I am proud to say that the pre-sale ledger is now ready and available for viewing. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, please take a look and see where you stand as far as amount spent, whether or not you made it before the cap, bonus percentage logged, and several other interesting factors.

On top of his work getting the Pre-sale Ledger published, Boris has been collaborating with Mike (who is a Wizard when it comes to algorithms and crypto work) on finalizing all of the details for our Hybrid PoS forging functionality. They are making great progress on this front and we going to release the test versions showing the new Hybrid PoS forging soon!

Once the node functionality is complete and we can release test versions to the community, Boris will be transitioning to work mainly on the custom blockchain functionality. This will be a large undertaking and top priority for our team moving forward. Once the main net is launched, our #1 goal for development will be to finalize this feature.

Products & Services Update

A.M. and SyRenity have been hard at work discussing possible partnerships and collaborations with some really high profile projects. While we are not yet able to announce specifics at this point, we are making good progress in negotiations with our first merchant payment processor and hope to have an announcement closer to launch. We are also in early talks with several major service partners and expect that in the first few months post-launch, we can make a splash with some really strong announcements.

As always, we will update this Blog with any major announcements as soon as we can!

Foundation Status

I (GreXX) have been hard at work developing the Foundation Charter and preparing it for a public community review prior to launch. It has gone through 3 major iterations internally and I think we are almost ready to debut the quasi-final structure. The Charter will layout the structure of the Board of Directors, the nomination process for community members, and will also detail how membership in the Foundation will work.

I am really looking forward to hearing your feedback and showing you what we have come up with. I think it allows for us to continue to develop Crypti in a meaningful and unhindered way, while allowing a lot of community feedback, input, and involvement in the process.

I am hoping we can release the current draft in the next 2-3 days so keep checking back!

Ticker Update

XCR was chosen as the official Crypti trading ticker, with Bter reserving it for trading.

Our original poll ended up with 2 front-runners in CRY and CRYPTI, however it has come to our attention that some exchanges only allow a max of 4 characters for their tickers. In light of this, Crypti was no longer a possible choice as we wanted to stay compliant with as many sites as possible. XCR was suggested as ISO standard, and eventually became the new leader.

Other Items

The poll in regards to the possibility of launching trading early through BTER was closed with the majority voting for the early trading. We are working with Bter now to finalize the XCR distribution, and will post the early trading date soon.

Our intention is to have a one-click installer available at launch, I know this has been asked about on multiple occasions and our goal is to make it happen. SyRenity will be working on this as soon as the nodes are ready to go.

We were also recently asked about creating a guide to help everyone understand how to setup a node and how forging works. We plan on having a “Getting Started” type of guide at launch to explain everything you need to know to get up and running, so stay tuned for that as well. We just can’t make the guide until we have finalized the node functionality and can test the setup on services like Digital Ocean and Heroku.

We also have a lot of other things in the works like

  • Rebranding of all of the web properties to have a more consistent and modern look.
  • Setting up a custom forum using NodeBB and a members section
  • Preparing job postings and determining requisite skills needed for post-launch development
  • Preparing marketing materials and other presentations for industry partnerships
  • Communicating with outlets like CoinDesk and others on getting additional coverage for Crypti

To Sum it Up

There is a lot going on in the world of Crypti and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. We have a great deal to accomplish and a lot of amazing supporters who are counting on us to get it done. We can’t say thank you enough for all of your support and continued interest in Crypti and we can’t wait to start collaborating more with the community on all kinds of products once the official launch period is over. We have a lot of great ideas and we know you do too!

A strong community can make the difference for any crypto-currency and I feel like we have hands down the best in the industry. As we have said from the beginning, Our goal is to be the #1 crypto-currency for e-commerce in the world and we couldn’t do it without you! I speak for the entire team when I say we are humbled by your support, excited by your enthusiasm, and we plan to reward it by making Crypti the currency of the future!
